Just a quick post to advise you that if you are ever in need of some cheap entertainment for kiddos (of a certain age, of course) a package of balloons is a great option. 
Mimi left Gage and Cooper with some regular-sized ones and some long ones (the kind that clowns make stuff out of) and for several days, neither boy was seen without one in his hand … or mouth.
They were used like sling-shots…
… and blown up again and again… 
… or at least attempted to be blown up again and again.
Cooper’s face really got this red and we were worried that he’d pop a blood vessel or pass out. He’d get it about this blown up, stop and look at me and say “Mama! Are you proud of me for blowing it up so big?”
He put so much effort into it, how could I not be proud…
The balloons even came with us to Costco.
I’ve blown up and tied so many balloons that our house now looks ready for a 4-year-old’s birthday party.
But, the funnest activity they’ve come up with is blowing them up and then letting them go. I don’t even know how many times I’ve been sprayed or whapped in the head by a slobbering balloon deflating through the air.
Oh well. Like I said, its good, cheap entertainment and that’s a win-win for all of us.
