Okay, maybe that is a slight exaggeration, but it sure seems like it is true. When you actually struggle to remember if it is June or November, you know you’ve had crumby weather.
Cabin fever creeps up quickly when you’ve had this much rain… especially when you live far from everything and have 3 very active little boys to entertain…
So, what to do? Here are a few things these boys’ve done to keep it real on these rainy, rainy days…
…they’ve played with Wedgits, and evidently exercised the right to not wear pants…
…they’ve thanked the Lord for their wonderful collection of movies…
…they’ve learned some more… about flexibility and that Cooper really is a monkey…
… they’ve watched Polar Express… yes, the Christmas movie. Because they are convinced that it is still wintertime and that the rain is so ‘big’ that it looks like snow and snow means Christmas…
… and when we know they are at the end of their ropes, they run… …and run…
…and beat themselves up while they run……still running around the same loop of the house… through the kitchen, dining room, entry way, living room, breakfast nook, repeat… 127 times…
…and there is always the fun of making faces so Mama can practice with her camera…
…oh wait… there is more running… you’d think it would tire them out… but no…
… on rainy days, there is always the joy of daydreaming about the sun that will surely shine again… it will, right??…
…and when it gets to be too much, we just watch it rain…
…more Wedgits…
…and then they bust out the laundry baskets and get creative…
…and then more running…
So any day now, it might stop raining. But until then, I suppose we’ll be thankful that rain makes corn, corn makes whiskey, and whiskey makes …

So cute, Lacey! Here's what this guy says about rain... "The best thing one can do when it's raining is to let it rain." ~ Henry Wadsworth Longfellow
....and to think we're related to that wise Mr. Longfellow! Guess I'll just let it rain in Washington too.
That was a very fun post, Lacey. I'm sure I'll click on it many times today.
Fabulous photos Lacey...looks like you're doing great with the new camera!! :-)

It's also been fun getting to know you in Karen's class. So sad it's over now, but we'll still have the forum to keep in touch! :-)
