Swaddle Me No More...

From the time Kaden was 2 days old, he's loved being swaddled. For the first 2 days, he enjoyed his new found freedom of being outside the womb and would not be restrained. But after that he was always wrapped up tight.

One night, while in the hospital, the nurse told me that he never knew a baby that didn't love to be swaddled. They'd fight it at first and have the parents convinced that their baby didn't like it, but he always gently assured him they were wrong...

My baby was no exception and I WISH I would have known of this with Gage and Cooper.

That nurse wasn't the only one who recommends swaddling... the man from the Happiest Baby on the Block does too, as does Erin Cobb. And I'd believe just about anything she says.

Once the Swaddle Me blanket was wrapped around him it was like a switch went off and he knew it was bedtime. But right around 4 months, he started creeping his little hanies out and gradually began pushing his feet so hard against the bottom that he'd 'open' up the swaddle. Now, we have this....

Sleepy baby, without a Swaddle Me blanket... makes me kind of sad... but he's obviously not too bothered by it...
